Poppy

PEMF has had a remarkable effect on Poppy, our 8-year-old English cocker spaniel, who had been suffering for 18 months or so from chronically sprained and fibrosed muscles in her hind legs. By the time we met Noelle in July, Poppy’s lower back and hips were stiff and painful, she had frequent spasms in her lower back and hind quarters, and would sit with her rear end tucked under; sometimes deep pressure massage would help, but occasionally the spasm was so bad I would have to carry her if we were out on a walk. Also, she would “weird out" before she pooped: she wouldn’t want to walk, held back, stood a bit then walked on a bit, and this would go on for a good 10 mins or more, and as soon as she pooped, she was fine. Sometimes her lower back and hind legs went into an awful spasm, and she would shake during or after she pooped; this was usually relieved by deep massage on her hips and thighs. She also stretched out her forelegs frequently during the day and held the stretch for 4–5 seconds, and she couldn’t jump onto the sofa or our laps as easily as she used to.

She had received excellent veterinary care, including two consults with specialists in Vancouver, and a number of treatment modalities, including massage, physiotherapy, laser, and water treadmill, but unfortunately nothing seemed to help — until we tried PEMF. After 6 sessions over the course of a month the results were amazing: Poppy jumped up with more ease and energy; when lying on her side, instead of raising her rear leg up (more comfortable than holding it down, as that stretched the sprained muscles) she began to hold it down in a natural position; began to poop normally; no spasms, and she was more engaged and energetic. Over the following two months we continued with the PEMF because sometimes Poppy would relapse a bit but each time she did, the symptoms that returned were less troublesome, the healing plateaus lasted longer, and she continued to progress well.

I’m immensely grateful to Noelle for introducing us to PEMF and improving the quality of Poppy’s life. And Noelle herself is a joy, deeply committed to helping restore her two- and four-legged patients to health and comfort, and her excitement about their enhanced wellbeing is palpable. She is highly professional, always on time and swiftly responsive to messages, and was readily willing to squeeze in treatments if Poppy was in need. As soon as Poppy heard Noelle’s car drive up, she was super exited and couldn’t wait to go out and greet her, a very good sign too!
